There was no shortage of standout individuals behind the booths, including celebrity chefs, enthusiastic small-business owners and even one of the chefs that works at the White House! Great, tasty food is one thing, but when the person that makes the incredible food is a rockstar as well, then nobody leaves hungry!

It's always time for dessert! The combination of familiar snacks and desserts was one of the biggest trends we noticed while scouring the endless aisles of food. The first booth was larger than life - a full-size RV that Delverde Pasta (http://www.delverde.eu/) takes on the road so they can eat and showcase their pasta wherever they like. Not only was the bus impressive, but they were showing a live Italian soccer game from the EuroCup 2012. Needless to say, the crowd of Italian men (and other soccer fans) grabbed our a...

ShowGirlTalk arrived in Washington DC this past weekend, hungry for the latest in food trends, innovations and samples! The Fancy Food Show is always a favorite of ours, as the exhibitors tend to hold nothing back in their displays and enthusiasm for their products. An estimated 2,300 exhibitors filled the trade show floor, from over 100 countries around the globe. They showcased over 180,000 products, from subtle flavors of olive oil and vinegar, to mountains of cheese and new twists on childho...
